Financial position and key figures
In 2023, acquisitions under Hansel’s joint procurement agreements totalled €1,593 million (€1,323 million in 2022). Many of the agreements continued to grow strongly in use compared with the previous year.
The company’s net sales in 2023 totalled €17.1 million (€14.3 million in 2022). The net sales consisted of service fees for the use of contracts totalling €13.6 million (€11.0 million in 2022), sales of specialist services totalling €3.1 million (€2.8 million in 2022), as well as other service fees and revenue totalling €507,000 (€520,000 in 2022).
The operating result was €1,720,000 (–€59,000 in 2022). The result for the 2023 accounting period was €2,004,000 (–€338,000 in 2022). In line with our strategy, we managed to turn a profit in 2023. The loss from several preceding years was planned and caused mostly by the reorganisation of the company and its ownership in 2019, following which Hansel immediately incurred expenses with the personnel transfer, but the profit followed with a delay because the company’s existing joint procurement contracts could not be opened for the new customers. The company’s financial items include changes related to investments. Hansel has no liabilities to financial institutions. The six-million-euro limit taken for managing the electricity derivatives trading of the electricity contract has yet to be needed.
Hansel made a profit in 2006–2017, but 2018–2022 were loss-making until 2023. In accordance with its articles of association, Hansel is a non-profit limited liability company. The financial position of the company is good.
