Increased use of joint procurement introduces savings
The Finnish Government strongly emphasises the need for cost savings, presenting joint procurement as one possible solution. As the only central contracting entity serving the entire public administration, we naturally invest heavily in these efforts.
Operations
Our vision is to be our customers’ preferred procurement partner and a strong supporter of our customers at all stages of the procurement lifecycle. During the year, we were engaged in persistent development to improve our services.
Finances
Our growth strategy guides our operations, which was also reflected in our key performance indicators for 2023: the use of joint procurement already reached almost €1.6 billion, and the number of personnel increased to 132. The financial section contains the annual report of the Board of Directors.
Renewing procurement
Public procurement has become increasingly important, and there is a desire to manage it better. We were heavily involved in the development of knowledge-based management and procurement expertise. Our specialists also helped our customers with their development work.
Sustainable procurement
The aim is for public procurement to have a significant impact. Our longstanding work on sustainability currently focuses on the piloting of new indicator calculations and the international exchange of experiences.
